Our client, a 48-year old MTA bus operator and volunteer fireman was stopped at a red light on Rockaway Blvd in Queens when he was rear-ended by another driver. The reckless driver who hit our client claimed he was unable to stop his vehicle because the road was wet, but any responsible driver knows when the roads are wet they are often slippery, making it especially important to drive at a reasonable speed. Had the other driver been paying attention to the road, our client’s injuries, which included multiple herniated discs, could have been avoided. Trial Attorney Michael Feldman settled this case for $495,000.
