Two crashes early Monday morning on the Sprain Brook Parkway shut down multiple lanes between Armonk and Purchase. Those traveling southbound on 1-684 experienced delays as the road came to a gridlock. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accidents.
The Sprain Brook Parkway is known as a dangerous road, perhaps one of the most hazardous in the state. Speeding, and poor visibility contribute to the high number of automobile collisions on the Parkway.
